Steel Grates
Our custom Steel Grates come with gray or black powder coat paint as standard, and will support 400 pounds. They allow easy air circulation in your window wells, keep large debris out of your wells, and make fresh air circulation easy – no need to remove the window well cover. Excellent for patios and other high traffic areas. Please keep in mind that your cover may vary from a similar sized example due to engineering requirements and design.
Non-Egress Grates
Egress sized Aluminum Grates allow easy air circulation in your window wells, keep large debris out of your wells, and make fresh air circulation easy – no need to remove the window well cover. Largest sizes are lightweight enough for emergency escape and are egress compliant! Supports up to 400 pounds static weight.
Top Covers
Our tough polycarbonate Top Covers are made to fit on top of any window well grates to provide extra protection from rain and debris but snap off for easy ventilation. Top Covers can be made in either Sloped or Flat style, and can also be hinged. Top Covers can be made to fit any size or shape of existing grate. Please note that Top Covers are not made to bear weight on their own, so if you desire to discard your existing grate please consider a Sloped or Flat cover.
Accessories--Escape Hatches
Escape Hatches are an crucially important option for large aluminum grates, as they are too heavy to be egress compliant. Escape Hatches are also securable from the inside to help prevent unauthorized access. Placement is taken into consideration during the design process, and you will receive a CAD for approval before manufacturing takes place.
Accessories--Grate Locks
Grate locks help prevent unauthorized access to your home. The second photo shows how escape is possible inside the well by pulling the pin protected by the flanges. All installation hardware is provided. The design of the Grate Lock may vary depending on the type of well you have.
