Semi-Circle Steel Window Wells are what most people think of when they think of window wells. They provide protection & ventilation for your non-egress basement windows by:
Are you looking for a semi-circle metal well? We offer a variety of sizes and depths to meet any project need. Our wells are made from 18 or 20 gauge corrugated galvanized steel that makes our wells resistant to caving in or warping when installed properly. We are pleased to offer a 30 year warranty on these wells.
Because of the heavy gauge they are a reliable selection for areas where egress escape is not a requirement.
These smaller wells are fantastic for small basement windows at or above ground level. Installing one of these semi-circle wells that are 3-4″ above grade and 8-10″ deeper than the bottom sill of your basement window, will hold back dirt, mulch, and other landscaping materials away from the basement window. When it rains, the water will be less likely to wash up against your window and cause leaks.
Even if your window is completely above your landscaping, a window well may be of benefit–there will be a place for the water to go during heavy rains.
All the window wells we stock can be shipped with a window well cover of your choice.

As one of the leaders in everything window well related, we are often asked what is the best window well shape. Many homeowners are confused by the number of options available for non-egress window wells.
This is perfectly understandable. We have Elongated Wells, Foundation Vent Wells, and, of course, we have Semi-Circle window wells. So how do you decide which one is the best fit for your home?
The shape and size of the window well you choose is mostly determined by your basement window size and style. You need to choose a window well that is at least 4″ wider than your window so when the well is attached to the wall the concrete will be less likely to crack. Semi-Circle wells are up to 46″ wide, so it will accommodate most basement windows nicely.
If you have a hopper or awning window, we recommend the Elongated Wells, or maybe the non egress Rectangular Wells so that the window can be opened if desired. If you have questions about size and shape, give us a call at 888-650-9355.
A sturdy window well is the first step in preventing basement flooding. A well that is 8-12” deeper than the window is instrumental in preventing rain or ground water from flooding the well and bursting in your basement window, leading to extensive flood damage.
Our wells withstand the forces of nature, but like anything else that is outside, a little protection will help extend the life of your investment.
A window well cover, whether steel or polycarbonate, will keep your well dry and clear of debris and animals, and will give you additional peace of mind knowing that should kids or pets be in the yard, they will not accidentally fall in your well.
